Below are links to the Bills that the association is currently monitoring and or pursuing action on, most of these raise varying levels of concern.
SB 501 – relative to immunity for campground owners
(Hearing Tuesday January 30 at 10:00 a.m. in room 100 of the SH Building)
SB 403 – relative to the exemption for recreational vehicles from property taxation
(Wednesday January 24 at 9:00 a.m., Ways and Means, Room 100, SH)
SB 509 – allowing municipalities to require income and expense information of business properties for tax appraisals
(Wednesday January 31 at 10:00 a.m., Public and Municipal Affairs, Room 102, LOB)
HB 1269 – relative to the requirement for campground owners to provide certain information to local assessing officials
(Tuesday February 6 at 1:00 p.m., Municipal and County Government, Room 301, LOB)
HB 1794 – requiring a portion of rental fees for canoes, kayaks, and personal watercraft to be deposited in the fish and game search and rescue fund
(Tuesday January 16 at 1:00 p.m., Fish and Game Marine Resources, Room 307, LOB)

SB 410 – establishing a registration fee for canoes and kayaks

LSR 2308 – relative to the payout value of bingo games at private campgrounds and hotels

HB 1371 – repealing certain exemptions from permitting requirements for temporary seasonal docks

HB 1226 – relative to restricting the watering of lawns through the use of private wells
