Museum of Family Camping

One Man's Dream

The Museum of Family Camping is dedicated to Roy B. Heise (1910-1991), whose dream it was to open a museum to display his collection of camping memorabilia, along with other treasures depicting the history of family camping.

The little museum in the pines in Bear Brook State Park, featured on CBS This Morning national TV show, is the realization of Roy's Dream as each year it attracts more and more visitors from all over the world.
